Calling all writers!

The podcast crew is getting on in years, so we’re looking for help with the heavy lifting, writing wise. If you live in the Capitol Region and want to have a part in keeping the podcast alive (which you must, if you still have a subscription to this hoary RSS feed), please attend our next writer’s meeting: Thursday, September 18th, 6:30-10:30 p.m. (8:30-10:30 for those in performing ensembles). RSVP (include your email) in the comments below and we’ll send you details on the location and what we’ll be working on. Trust us, it’s a lot more fun than it sounds. Hope to see you then!

Blue Mile Podcast – Atomic Water

Blue Mile Podcast – Atomic Water

Have we mentioned lately how much we looove the sketch comedy troupe Picnicface? Especially their “Powerthirst” videos? Seriously, do yourselves a favor and check out their act: picnicface.com. Like I said, we love ourselves some Picnicface and would never steal from them ever…

This is actually a parody of a commercial which was an adaptation of their “Powerthirst” sketches…which were parodies themselves to begin with. Follow all that?

We love you, Picnicface. Please don’t sue us.

Blue Mile Podcast – Dailies: The Five Worst Things to Say on a Date

Blue Mile Podcast – Dailies: The Five Worst Things to Say on a Date

In real-life film making, the term “dailies” refers to the first prints of a day’s shoot, typically used by the director to pick which takes to use, or by the actor, to make sure any zits, back fat, extra nipples, etc. aren’t visible in the scene.

Of course, the BMP being the BMP, we’re going to use this term in an inappropriate and completely context-free way to highlight our many bloopers.

Also, that Christmas tree? Totally left up until February for lighting purposes.

What is the Blue Mile Podcast?

We've often wondered the same thing. We're pretty sure that we're a sketch comedy troupe from Upstate New York and New England. We'd tell you more, but your question has sent us into an existential crisis. Thanks a lot.
